Why do we need to study the attributes of God in apologetics?

To Defending the True Nature of God

• To counter false ideas about God (e.g., that He is cruel or indifferent), we study His attributes to reveal His compassionate and loving character.
• Exodus 34:6 “The Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.”

 To Explaining God’s Actions

• God’s attributes help us understand His actions in history and Scripture, such as creation, judgement, and salvation.
• Deuteronomy 32:4 “He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.”

• God’s eternal, holy, all-knowing, and unchanging nature sets Him apart from false gods.

تُعلن صفات الله طبيعته وجوهره، وتُظهر كماله وتفرّده بوصفه الخالق وسيّد الكون.
هذه الصفات ليست مجرد أوصاف، بل تعبيرات عن كيانه الأزلي، وتتجاوز الإدراك البشري المحدود.

لماذا ندرس صفات الله في علم الدفاعيات المسيحية؟

الدفاع عن الطبيعة الحقيقية لله
لمواجهة الأفكار الخاطئة عن الله (مثل القول إنه قاسٍ أو غير مبالٍ)، ندرس صفاته لنُظهر رحمته ومحبته.
