ما هو الكتاب المقدس المسيحي؟

كلمة «الكتاب المقدس» مشتقة عبر اللاتينية من الكلمة اليونانية biblia التي تعني «الكتب».
الكتاب المقدس ليس كتابًا واحدًا، بل هو مكتبة من النصوص المقدسة كُتبت بواسطة أكثر من 40 كاتبًا مختلفًا.
يحتوي على أنواع أدبية متعددة: التاريخ، والحكمة، والنبوة، والشعر.
كُتب على مدى حوالي 1500 سنة.
يعود تاريخ الكتاب المقدس إلى نحو 3400 سنة، أما شكله المكتمل فله أكثر من 1900 سنة.
جاء كتّابه من خلفيات متنوعة، ومهن مختلفة، ومستويات تعليم متباينة.
كُتب كل سفر لجمهور محدد، وفي سياق تاريخي وثقافي خاص.
يعكس كل سفر عادات وبيئة زمنه، ومع ذلك يتناول حقائق عامة خالدة.
تبقى رسالة الكتاب المقدس صحيحة وفاعلة حتى اليوم.
الكتاب المقدس لم يُكتب لنا مباشرة، لكنه كُتب من أجلنا.

2 تيموثاوس 3:16
«كُلُّ الْكِتَابِ هُوَ مُوحًى بِهِ مِنَ اللهِ، وَنَافِعٌ لِلتَّعْلِيمِ وَالتَّوْبِيخِ، لِلتَّقْوِيمِ وَالتَّأْدِيبِ الَّذِي فِي الْبِرِّ.»

كُتب في الأصل باللغات العبرية، والآرامية، واليونانية، ثم تُرجم إلى لغات العالم.
للكتاب المقدس رسالة واحدة متكاملة، تتمحور حول الخلاص، وله شخصية مركزية واحدة: يسوع المسيح.
هو أكثر الكتب مبيعًا في التاريخ، إذ يُقدَّر عدد نسخه بين 5 و7 مليارات نسخة.
تُرجم الكتاب المقدس إلى جميع لغات العالم المعروفة.
لقد شكّل الثقافات، والقوانين، والتقاليد، والمعتقدات حول العالم كما لم يفعل أي كتاب آخر.
يعلن الكتاب المقدس أن يسوع هو الله، وأن الخلاص لا يكون إلا به، وهي دعوى تستحق التأمل العميق.

قال سي. إس. لويس:
«إن كانت المسيحية باطلة فهي غير مهمة، أما إن كانت حقيقية، فلا يوجد في الكون ما هو أهم منها.»

الانسجام الداخلي للكتاب المقدس

من سفر التكوين إلى سفر الرؤيا، يحافظ الكتاب المقدس على رسالة متسقة واحدة.
يحتوي الكتاب المقدس على 73 سفرًا كتبها حوالي 40 كاتبًا.
كتب هؤلاء الكتّاب عبر فترة تمتد لنحو 1500 سنة (تقريبًا من 1446 ق.م إلى 95 م).
كثير منهم لم يلتقوا بعضهم بعضًا.
وكانوا مفصولين عن بعضهم بمسافات آلاف الكيلومترات.
كُتب الكتاب المقدس في ثلاث قارات: إفريقيا، وآسيا، وأوروبا.
وكُتب بثلاث لغات: العبرية، والآرامية، واليونانية.

يجيب الكتاب المقدس عن أكبر أسئلة الحياة:

• من أين جاء الكون؟

• من هو الله؟

• لماذا وُجد الإنسان؟

• ما هو هدف حياتنا؟

• لماذا يوجد الشر والألم؟

• ماذا يحدث بعد الموت؟

وعبر جميع أسفاره، يقدّم الكتاب المقدس إجابات موحّدة ومتناسقة.
إنه قصة متناغمة واحدة تشرح كيف يعمل الله ليصالح الخطاة مع نفسه.
